Satellite Stories @ Tavastia

Satellite Stories kiersi vähän aikaa sitten Suomea, ja käväisi myös Tavastialla tanssittamassa yleisöä. Naminami! Pohjoisen pojat jaksavat kyllä lämmittää sydäntä kerta toisen jälkeen. Setissä kuultiin kolme uutta biisiäkin, ja nyt bändi keskittyykin tekemään toista pitkäsoittoaan. Can't wait. :)

Satellite Stories toured Finland a while ago and of course visited Tavastia on their way. Yummy! These northern lads always know how to warm hearts and make feet stomp to the rhythm. Some new tunes were also heard, and now the band's main focus is making a new album. Can't wait! More pics at Flickr.

Tällaista nannaa tipahti tänään tuutista! Satelliittien uutta videota siis. Bändi on juuri palannut Euroopasta ja starttaa Suomen-turneensa ensi viikolla Tavastialta. See you there!

This came out just today - Satellite Stories' new vid! The band has just got back home from Europe and is heading towards a bunch of domestic gigs. The tour starts next week from Tavastia, Helsinki - see you there!

Big Wave Riders & Satellite Stories

Ihan vaan, jos joltakulta on vaikka jäänyt huomioimatta pari videota. Satellite Stories julkaisee debyyttinsä Phrases to Break the Ice syyskuussa, Big Wave Ridersin vastaava Life Less Ordinary taas on ulkona tänä perjantaina. Uskaltanen paljastaa molempien olevan tykkikamaa!

Just in case you've missed these two videos - Satellite Stories will release their debut album Phrases to Break the Ice in September, whilst Big Wave Riders' debut Life Less Ordinary is out this Friday. I dare to let you know already they both kick ass!

Satellite Stories @ Bar Loose

Oulun party indie -lähettiläät eli Satelliitit rokkasivat Loosen kellarissa minkä kerkesivät (jo muutama viikko sitten, nolous). Tahti oli sen mukainen, että kuvien ei voinut kuvitellakaan onnistuvan, mutta aina pitää vähän yrittää!

Finnish party indie missioners a.k.a. Satellite Stories rocked away at Bar Loose in the beginning of December (yes, I'm late with these pics, sorry!). Both the band & crowd were surely in a festive mood, so I didn't exactly assume I could take any decent photos, but a girl's gotta try anyway! More at Flickr.

Satellite Stories - Blame the Fireworks

Yksi karseimpia fiiliksiä maailmassa on post gig depression. Vaikka olin viikonlopun neljästä Von Hertzen Brothers -keikasta paikalla vain kaksi, ja tälle viikolle on tiedossa liveä enemmän kuin laki sallii, on olo surullinen ja kohmeinen. Siis ilmankin sitä faktaa, että on taas maanantai (ja että kurkku on kipeä kolmatta päivää). Puuh.

Onneksi on oululainen indiepumppu Satellite Stories, jonka uusi sinkku Blame the Fireworks tuo hilpeyttä flegmaattisuuden keskelle omalla persoonallisella tavallaan. Biisi kasvaa valloittavasti loppua kohden ja kutkuttaa kitarasurinoista pitävän hermoja. Kuunnelkaa ja piristykää. Ja tulkaa torstaina Bar Looseen keikasta nauttimaan!

Post gig depression is one of the worst feelings in the world. Even though I couldn't attend all four Von Hertzen Brothers gigs last weekend and there's another four nights' worth of live music this week, I'm feeling really numb. Monday and being a bit ill also might have something to do with it.

But luckily there's Satellite Stories, a delightful indie rock band from Oulu, who brings some sunshine to the middle of this greyness with a new track called Blame the Fireworks. Listen to it and be brightened up. And get ready for their gig on Thursday!
